The Vapor Chef has had an impressive run of reviews with their fruity flavors. Eager to try something a little different from the new vendor, I grabbed the PB Nomnoms, their take on classic peanut butter cookies.

As soon as the lid comes off the bottle, the smell of fresh peanut butter cookies emerging from the oven fills the air and immediately brings to mind the crosshatch pattern and sugar crystals that adorn any dignified version of the childhood (and adult) favorite.

While the aroma of the e-juice is pure, accurate, and intense, I had a moment of doubt on the inhale which comes off a bit bland, with little more than a mild sweetness.

Right in the moment when the inhale is complete, just before the vapor is exhaled, the flavor of peanut butter cookie begins to materialize and the doubt is promptly extinguished.

The exhale and finish is where The Vapor Chef’s PB Nomnoms comes into it’s own. As the vapor slowly escapes, the dry, roasted flavor of peanut butter and the rich, dark sweetness of brown sugar join forces to reproduce the flavor, and more remarkably, the mouthfeel (albeit less crumbly) of the much beloved cookie.

While I can’t say it’s 100% spot on, it’s incredibly close to the real thing and a far better replica than any I’ve previously tasted, incorporating all aspects of the profile, from the rich umami flavor of roasted peanuts, to the caramelized sweetness of baked brown sugar and most importantly, just a slight hint of salt on the finish that really drives this one home.

While the flavor density here is not necessarily lacking, it’s not quite as potent as some of TVC’s other flavors, and in that regard, I wouldn’t turn down a little more of that yummy PB cookie flavor. As with the other e-liquid I’ve reviewed from The Vapor Chef, this juice is notable not only for the flavors that are in the profile, but for those that are absent.

Overall,It starts with a roasted cookie flavor then blooms into peanut butter, brown sugar, and vanilla. I didn’t think I’d like any bakery/dessert flavors; now I’m converted. It’s like a bag of Nutter Butters, without the mess and calories. ADV? It will be joined in the rotation.

The nicotine and base liquid are both pristine, with no off notes, peppery overtones or anything else that doesn’t belong in juice but is unfortunately found in blends of lesser quality. I preferred to keep fairly low on the wattage spectrum just over 8 watts or 4.5v on a 2.5 Ω atomizer.

Even at that relatively cool spot along the normal vaping wattage spectrum, this juice still manages to produce a solid throat hit and a very large cloud of sweet, peanut butter-y vapor.
