Mt Baker has generated a tremendous amount of buzz in the various forums with a particularly strong following in the /r/electronic_cigarette Reddit community. Much of the chatter revolves around the vendor’s perceived value offering high quality e-liquid at everyday bargain prices.
That being said, value is not something that I take into account for the purpose of these reviews, each juice is judged on it’s own merits, not it’s price point. That being said, I decided to begin with their Moo Juice, a strawberries and cream flavor with quite a few fans. As I often do with new bottles, I tasted the juice right out of the mailbox in order to evaluate the changes that take place during the steeping process. With no steeping, the juice has an odd, plastic-y, chemical overtone. While that off flavor is present in the steeped juice, it’s very hard to pick up on unless you’re looking for it, and some vapers might be able to overlook it entirely. The fact is, after three weeks of steeping, this juice paints a completely different picture. The profile is a strawberries and cream type flavor, but it’s a bit different than any I’ve had previously with a stronger emphasis on the cream, similar to a strawberry milkshake.
It’s a less natural, seemingly purposeful artificial cream flavor, tasting more like the white part of the discontinued LifeSavers cream swirled lollipops or other fruit and cream flavored candy. The strawberry flavor is very good with a jelly or jam like quality and not a hint of the acrid, bitter, medicinal overtones that often piggyback with lesser strawberry based e-liquids. The overall profile is well balanced, sweet, and creamy with a rich mouthfeel and a candied fruitiness.
I liked this one best at a fairly standard 8 watts or 4.5v on a 2.5Ω atomizer. This yielded the full breadth of both the berry and cream flavors, voluminous clouds of vapor, and a smooth, mellow throat hit.Buy Now!
