When I began vaping back in 2009, there were very few options when it came to flavors and even fewer vendors to choose from. At the time, a lot of vapers used Dekang’s Peach, and while it was fairly simple and a bit flat in flavor, it did taste like Peach. As time went on, more vendors began to pop-up, but they all utilized the same peach flavor, good but not great, vape-able, but nothing to write home about…until I happened upon iVape’s Peach which at the time I believed to be the end all and be all of the peach e-liquid…and then I tried Indigo’s OMGPeach.
I wouldn’t go so far as to call Indigo’s better, it’s different, and the two provide very different experiences albeit both are centered around the same general idea. I found iVape’s Peach to have a sweet, almost nectar-like quality…in one of my more poetic moments, I even likened it to “vaping the sunshine”. Indigo’s OMGPeach has a bit more depth and character to it, so where iVape is full-on, in-your-face flavor, practically screaming “PEACH,” Indigo’s OMGPeach is more complex and full bodied, with supporting flavors rounding out the profile.
The front side of the vape is fairly light with a fresh quality, closest in flavor to a natural peach. The back end brings a sweeter peach flavor similar to canned peaches in heavy syrup. The finish is where things get interesting incorporating of both of the two previous flavors, a light touch of peach skin, and the candy-like flavor of gummy peach rings, making for the most dynamic peach e-liquid I’ve reviewed to date.
The flavors are a far cry from anything I would refer to as subtle, but I wouldn’t object to a bit more of it either to enhance the sweet, fruity and exceedingly exciting journey through the flavor profile. While most of the Indigo juice that I’ve reviewed so far has had a relatively high tolerance to heat and thus a sweet spot at the upper end of the normal vaping wattage spectrum, the OMGPeach was best just short of 8.5 watts, or 4.6v on a 2.5Ω atomizer.
This kept all the flavors pure, preventing any heat induced flavor degradation, and provides a moderate throat hit with a tremendous cloud of vapor.
