Everything in the blend is quite sweet, as one would expect from an ice cream themed juice, yet despite the name that brings to mind the image of a picture perfect banana split, Sundae Fundae is more like a menagerie of cooked sugar concoctions atop a single ice cream variety.
The dominant flavor in the juice is that of butter pecan, practically smothered in the deep, rich, dark essence of brown sugar, slowly cooked into a decadent caramelized butterscotch concoction, creating the type of flavor that leaves you with the feeling of having just overindulged at the local ice cream shop.
The background notes, and make no mistake, they are signs used to enhance the dominant players further rather than stand on their own two feet, are a lighter vanilla note, and what I believe to be a trace of cinnamon. I also taste a hint of a waffle cone like flavor, perhaps malt or something related, but the whole experience (and that how a composition like this should be viewed, as an experience rather than picking it apart, flavor by flavor as I’m tasked with doing) just works…regardless of ingredients.
It’s sweet, very sweet, the kind of juice enjoyed after a meal, or in the evening before bed, rather than something I would consider as an ADV, but that’s the point, it’s almost like a special occasion liquid (no special occasion necessary).
While almost everything I’ve tasted from Mr. Good Vape has been high wattage friendly, I began to have some flavor issues with Sundae Funday at 28 watts. If you’re a mech mod vaper who like to go into the sub-Ω territory, I’d recommend keeping it above .55Ω or risk an off flavor from excessive heat.
Even in the SMOK ZMAX MINI , I preferred to keep this juice on the cooler side of the spectrum, settling in at 8.8w or 4.7v on with a 2.5Ω dripper which produces the creamy, dense, sweetness, a moderate throat hit, and a larger than anticipated cloud at this wattage.
